De Ritis score as an inflammatory marker in Hashimoto's thyroiditis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background The aim of the study was assessing De Ritis score, an inflammatory marker, in Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT) patients which is characterized with autoimmunity and chronic inflammation. Methods Between October 2021 2022, subjects our outpatient clinics diagnosed healthy controls enrolled to study. Age, gender, laboratory parameters including C-reactive protein (CRP), alanine (ALT), aspartate (AST) transaminases, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), free T4 (FT4), were obtained recorded for all participants, retrospectively. Division AST by ALT formula calculate score. Characteristics data compared. Results Median de ratio HT group (1.11 (0.56)%) significantly higher than that control (0.91 (0.41)%), (p < .001). A positive significant correlation between score CRP (r = 0.46, p .001) values. ROC analysis revealed sensitivity specificity predicting those 0.9% has 67% 50% selecting (AUC: 0.69, .001, 95% CI: 0.63–0.76). Conclusions We think elevated can be used as adjunctive tool diagnosis HT.

Distribution of IgG4- and/or IgG-Positive Plasma Cells in Hashimotos Thyroiditis: An Immunohistochemical Study

Background and Study Aim: Recently, immunohistochemistry has shown numerous IgG4-positive plasma cells in a subset of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (HT), and this type of HT (IgG4 HT) appears to be a subtype of IgG4-related sclerosing disease. However, little is known about the distribution pattern of plasma cells in IgG4 thyroiditis. To clarify the distribution pattern of IgG4-positive plasma cells,...

The AST/ALT (De-Ritis) ratio

The aspartat aminotransferase (AST)/alanin aminotransferase (ALT) (De-Ritis) ratio (AAR) is an easily applicable blood test. An elevated AAR on the one hand has been associated with an increase in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). NAFLD on the other hand is associated with an increase in cardiovascular disease, all-cause mortality, and diabetes. As the AAR is also elevated in case of mu...

Lactoferrin as a Marker of Systemic Inflammatory Response

Materials and methods. 51 patients, who were ill with generalized peritonitis, went through a prospective randomized research. They were randomized on groups depending on the objective score SAPS (1984): 29 survived people (53%) and 22 people with favorable end (47%). Intensive care and surgical tactics standardized patients. Lactoferrin (LF) as modulator of systemic inflammatory response (SIR)...
